Introduction

Solution step 1

Turn the discs on the side of the box until the image is correctly aligned. Once this is done, the heart slider extends from the top of the box. At the lowest point of the slider there is a pair of numbers. Match these numbers with the symbols on the bottom of the box and use them to open the locks of the bottom drawer. (Solution: #5 and #8)

Solution step 2

Set the correct symbols on the lock of the bottom drawer. Press the slider in and push the arrow slider to the right – the drawer can then be slid open. Inside you will find a set of puzzle pieces.

Solution step 3

Place the puzzle pieces into the heart shape on the top of the box. There are several possible arrangements, but only one makes two of the numbers on the top of the box visible through the holes. Match these numbers with the symbols on the bottom of the box and use them to open the locks of the middle drawer. (Solution: #2 and #4)

Solution step 4

Set the correct symbols on the lock of the middle drawer. The drawer can then be slid open as well. Inside you will find the origami instructions and 4 sheets of origami paper (you only need one).

Fold it according to the instructions and you will get the first solution number. (#3)

Solution step 5

You can now also solve the maze puzzle.

Start at "S". As soon as you reach a heart, you are "beamed" to the position of the heart in the other colour. This is how you make your way through the maze.

You can only reach the number #4. This is the second solution number for the third compartment.

Solution step 6

Set the correct symbols on the dial of the top drawer. The drawer can then be slid open. Inside you will find the kaleidoscope.

Look into the kaleidoscope after inserting one disc at a time. Turn it – when aligned correctly, the patterns form complete symbols. Only the following symbols appear on the puzzle box, and they are also the solution: #6, #7 and #9

Solution step 7

Push the inner arrow slider forward.

Set the side locks to the correct numbers. The elevator box can then be extended. Inside you will find the final prize and the QR code.

The unlocked box can then be used as a jewellery box, or reset and played again.

Reset the puzzle box to its original state

1. Close the elevator box
Put the final prize and the QR code back into the elevator box and slide it back in. Turn the side locks randomly and push the inner arrow slider back.

2. Put the kaleidoscope back
Take the disc out of the kaleidoscope and put the kaleidoscope with all discs back into the top drawer. Close the drawer and turn the dial randomly.

3. Put the origami back
Put the origami instructions and the origami sheets back into the middle drawer. If a sheet has been folded, replace it with a new one – you can download and print the template here. Close the drawer and turn the locks randomly.

4. Remove the puzzle pieces
Take the puzzle pieces out of the heart shape on the top of the box.

5. Lock the bottom drawer
Put the puzzle pieces back into the bottom drawer and close it. Push the arrow slider back to the left and turn the locks randomly.

6. Retract the heart slider
Push the heart slider on top back into the box while the image on the side is still correctly aligned. Then turn the discs on the side randomly.

Now the puzzle box can be solved again by other players.
